Shipping & Returns

The following are the terms and conditions under which Dial-A-Bed will supply the goods ordered/purchased.

1. Ordering and Purchases

1.1 The Customer acknowledges that they have ordered or purchased (as the case may be) the Products.

1.2 Dial-A-Bed offers no warranty that the Products are suitable for the purpose to be used by the Customer.

1.3 The Delivery Date overleaf is approximate and whilst Dial-A-Bed will make every effort to deliver on time, reasonable late delivery shall not be grounds for any dispute.

2. Payment

The Customer undertakes to pay the purchase price for the Products as advertised by cash, or by a credit card acceptable to Dial-A-Bed, or by direct bank deposit within seven days of placing the order, or in person through any of these means. Unless otherwise agreed, the purchase price does not include delivery or any other services.

3. Cancellation

Stock orders are liable for a 15% nonrefundable deposit to cover restocking fee in the event of Customer cancellation. Special orders are liable for a 50% nonrefundable deposit to cover restocking fee in the event of Customer cancellation.

4. Product Returns

4.1 Subject to clauses 4.2, Dial-A-Bed is under no obligation to accept any returns of Product from the Customer.

4.2 If Products are defective or damaged, the Customer shall return them, at their expense, within 3 days of purchase.

4.3 Dial-A-Bed reserves the right to replace or repair such defective goods or to reimburse the Customer the original purchase price

5. Risk and Title

Risk in the Product passes to the Customer when the Product is delivered or dispatched to the Customer and title to the Product passes to the Customer on full payment by the Customer of all charges.

6. Warranty

6.1 Manufacturers warranty

Dial-A-Bed does not warrant any product sold by it, in any way whatsoever. The customer acknowledges that the customer relies solely upon the warranty extended to Dial-A-Bed, by the supplier of such goods.

6.2 Conditions/Exclusions/Limitations.

6.2.1 The warranties herein contained extend to the original purchaser (whose details are recorded by Dial-A-Bed) only. They do not cover any person to whom an item is transferred. Exercise of any of the above Warranties is subject to delivery of the item to Dial-A-Bed and to proof of purchase and the date of purchase (as to which Dial-A-Beds’ records shall be conclusive in the case of disagreement).

6.2.2 This Warranty does not cover the cosmetic appearance of any surface of any item or of its components which may be changed after an item leaves Dial-A-Bed’s premises.

6.2.3 This Warranty shall not extend to any item which is found to have been used for any purpose other than that for which it was manufactured, which is altered or modified in any way, or which has suffered prior damage, unreasonable use or failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.

6.2.4 There shall be no implied or actual Warranty with respect to the manufacture of, or merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any item sold by Dial-A-Bed and Dial-A-Bed shall not be liable for any transportation charges, or for any direct, special, incidental, consequential (including loss of profit) or other loss or damage, whether based in contract, or tort, or arising from breach of any Warranty or otherwise provided that Dial-A-Bed acknowledges that this Warranty does not exclude or limit the application of any provision of any Statute (including the Trade Practices Act) where to do so would contravene that Statute or cause any part of this Agreement to be void (“Non-excludable Condition).

6.2.5 Dial-A-Bed’s total liability hereunder for a breach of any Non-excludable Condition (other than one implied by Section 69 of the Trade Practices Act) is limited at its option to any one of supplying, repairing or replacing an item of furniture.

6.2.6 All mattresses and based are covered with the standard factory warranty with an additional extended warranty of between 5-15 years. This warranty is a back to base warranty and freight charge for defective product is liable from the purchaser.

7. Indemnity

7.1 The Customer indemnifies Dial-A-Bed, it’s employees, agents and subcontractors against all losses, damages, expenses and costs (on a full indemnity basis and whether incurred by or awarded against any of them) that any of them may sustain as a result, whether directly or indirectly of any claim.

7.2 For the purpose of these Terms of Supply, “Claim” means any claim by any third person for loss or damage to any property, injury to or death of any person or economic loss arising out of or relating to any or all of the Products, any delay or failure in supplying the Products and these Terms of Supply.

8. General

These Terms of Supply contain the entire agreement between Dial-A-Bed and the Customer in relation to its subject matter and supercede all prior negotiations, agreements, understandings and commitments between Dial-A-Bed and the Customer in relation to that subject matter.

Listed below are a few hints that indicate it's time to start thinking about renewing your sleep surface.

1. You bought your current mattress over eight years ago. The average life span of a quality mattress is eight to ten years. Mattresses older than that suffer from deteriorating comfort features and diminished support capabilities.

2. You wake up feeling more tired than when you went to sleep. Most consumers wait too long to replace their mattresses. If you don't wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated - or if you feel any pain or discomfort - you've definitely waited too long.

3. The couch feels more comfortable than your bed. Concentrate on the feel of your mattress. Do you feel coils or bumps? Your body needs a smooth comfortable sleep surface to get a regenerative night's sleep. Your mattress should enable you to sleep through the night with minimal tossing and turning.

4. Your mattress looks like your grandmother's mattress. Inspect your mattress regularly for sags and imprints. If your mattress appears uneven or worn and frayed, maybe its time to start shopping. A: We at Dial-A-Bed advise consumers to buy the highest quality bedding they can afford, then replace old bedding every 8-10 years. After this many years, even the best bedding may no longer provide the comfort and support you deserve.

Q: What role does the mattress play in producing higher quality sleep?

A: Optimizing the level of support the spine receives during the night is paramount to getting quality sleep. Studies show that when the correct amount of support is supplied, the spine remains aligned and a person can enjoy a thorough rest period for the entire night. However, if the spine is not aligned due to a non-supportive sleep surface, a person’s back muscles work throughout the night in an attempt to position the spine properly. As a result, they wake up feeling sore and unrested.

Q: How do I care for my mattress?

A: Give your new sleep set time to “air” upon removal from its plastic packaging. Dispose of all plastic packaging as soon as possible.

Carry your mattress flat on its side. It’s easier to handle and you’ll be less likely to damage the mattress.

Keep your bedding clean. We always suggest using a mattress protector.

Replace the old base when purchasing a new mattress. An old base may not provide sufficient support. It may appear that your new mattress is sagging when it is actually the base which has become worn or damaged.

Use an appropriate frame and centre support for queen and king size sets. Using the proper frame will ensure that your warranty remains in effect.

Turn your mattress regularly to prolong the comfort and support life. Body indentations are a normal occurrence in your new mattress and indicate that the upholstery layers are conforming to your body’s individual contours. Don’t let anyone stand or jump on your mattress. It wasn’t built for that type of weight distribution or abuse.

Don’t allow your mattress to get wet. Some of the upholstery materials may compress. Protect it from water or other liquids.

Don’t place a board between your mattress and base. Your sleep set is designed as an integrated system to provide you with proper support, and the base plays an important role.

Q: How do I clean my mattress?

A: Keeping bedding clean is simple with the use of a protective mattress pad. Vacuuming is the only recommended cleaning method. If you must clean a stain, use mild soap with cold water and apply lightly! Don't ever soak a mattress or base, and don't use dry cleaning fluid of any type on your mattress -- these chemicals could damage some of the comfort and upholstery materials.
